Why MTK Hackathon
Don't just claim a skill.
Choose a field you know, work on a real problem and submit something you can defend. The goal is practical skill demonstration, not a memory-based exam.
Team collaboration
Build with up to four members around one shared technology domain.
Practical submission
Projects, code, designs or other deliverables are judged against the edition brief.
Verified recognition
Top submissions can be technically verified before final results and rewards are confirmed.

Each team selects exactly one domain during registration. The challenge brief for that domain is released for the applicable edition.

Rules & compliance
Built around skill, not chance.
Every edition will publish its final dates, challenge brief, scoring rubric, permitted tools, submission rules and reward terms before registration closes.
The competition is skill-based. Winners are determined by demonstrated performance, not chance, lottery or random selection.
Registration fee is ₹39 per team and is non-refundable once registration is successfully completed, subject to the published event terms.
One team may select only one challenge domain for an edition. All team members work on that same domain.
A minimum of 3 valid teams is required for an edition to proceed. The applicable edition terms will explain postponement or cancellation handling.
Participants must submit original work and follow the edition-specific rules on collaboration, AI tools, third-party assets and attribution.
MTK may verify shortlisted submissions, team identity and authorship before confirming final results and rewards.
Edition-based
Registration, challenge, submission and result dates are announced for each edition.
Transparent judging
Scoring criteria and tie-break rules are published before evaluation.
Clear fee terms
₹39 is a one-time team registration fee and is non-refundable subject to the official terms.
